ALWAYS LIVE - End of the line

Tap on and join the party at the end of the line with ALWAYS LIVE and Metro Trains. After a hiatus, the beloved Sandy Festival is returning with ALWAYS LIVE End of The Line, presented in partnership with Metro Trains, which will bring the streets of Sandringham to life for a free, family-friendly day to remember. Featuring live performances by Clare Bowditch, Blanco Tranco, Pirritu and Sophia J Smith, celebrate all things local with food and drink offerings provided by community vendors. No matter where you're coming from or where you're heading back, Metro Trains will get you to the end of the line. Jump on the train and join the festivities.

This event is part of ALWAYS LIVE 2023, a state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.

Get ready for some tasty treats from Sandy Village traders throughout the village:

We have lots of food and drink options - VIEW MORE

Eat, Drink, Enjoy - but help us keep Sandy Village clean!

Our food trucks will be using minimal packaging and we are provided additional waste and recycling bins.

PLEASE BYO cups, water bottles, containers, cutlery etc to help us reduce waste and packaging too.

Metro Trains Melbourne will also be handing out a limited number of plastic-free carbon neutral food containers and wooden cutlery from 1pm if you're arriving at Sandy station.

  • TRAIN: a 30 minute direct train ride from Flinders St station - head to platform 13
  • BUS: routes 600, 822, 825, 828, 922 & 923 all stop at Sandringham station
  • RIDE SHARE: pre-book with local LumiRide or Uber now
  • BICYCLE: bike paths extend along Port Phillip Bay in both directions
  • WALK: it's going to be a lovely day for a stroll to the foreshore, if you're local
