What does your business offer?

We have a number of treatment options including 1:1 training, small group training and functional training groups to cater for all individual needs.

When did you open your business in Sandy Village?

March 2016 after being strongly encouraged by the lovely directors at Bayside Sport Medicine Group, Tessa Hinds and Sarah Golding.

Why did you choose Sandy Village to run your business?

Along with Tessa & Sarah encouraging me to open in Sandringham, I was really drawn to Sandringham by the very proactive and healthy lifestyle people of Sandringham live. Everyone seems to be walking, riding and/or swimming most days and I love how Sandringham people truly value their Health & Wellbeing.

Why did you start your business? ‍

Our mission is to "Help people help themselves". We exist to foster behaviour change to help develop long term sustainable outcomes. PACE is a big believer of the value of health & wellbeing - both physically and mentally! And it is for this reason we love coming to work to help individuals improve each and every day.‍

What’s your proudest moment in business?

‍Developing a team of dedicated and deeply motivated individuals who all do a phenomenal job. Each team member truly gives 100% to help each and every client that walks through our door. Along with this, each and every positive outcome/achievement/change our clients make in their health and wellbeing journey.‍

What’s something your business offers that people may not know about?‍

Occupation health programs. Along with our clinical work, we also coordinate a number of corporate health and wellbeing programs around the bayside region. This includes pre-employment screenings, capacity profiling, preventative intervention programs & Health and Wellness workshops.‍

What’s a typical day at Pace Health Management like?

‍We open at 6am and typically close around 8pm. During this time we will see a vast array of clients, all making their way along their health journey. What I really love about our profession is the variety we have. Each hour is different. For example, a typical shift can include: a 60 year old type 2 diabetic client -> pre-employment functional screening assessment -> small group session -> end stage rehabilitation client -> Small youth group program -> helping a workcover client return to work. The variety definitely keeps you on your toes!‍

Interesting facts about your business or yourself:‍

PACE was born way back in 1997 in a Frankston garage and now has over 7 individual sites across Victoria.‍

What’s your favourite sport/team?‍

St. Kilda - fits perfectly for Bayside!‍

What are your hobbies outside of work?‍

Hunting for good coffee & wine, running along the trails throughout Bayside, spending time with my family and travelling.‍

What’s your favourite hangout in Sandy Village? ‍

People will say I live in Stevie! 6am starts = plenty of coffee. Love Y14 for some local Japanese. Always there for date night.‍

Best thing about Sandy Village aside from your business? ‍

The community. Everyone has been so welcoming right from the beginning. Throughout the more recent Covid-19 restrictions, all of us at PACE have been blown away by the community support we have received. It truly is a fantastic place to come and work everyday.
